✨ Best practices
💪 Get the most out of your Loom
- Practice before recording: Just as we rehearse when preparing to give a live presentation, it is considered good practice to do the same for Loom videos. Before recording, do a rehearsal to warm up your vocal cords and check your pacing.
- Use notes: Always keep your notes on the screen in case you lose your train of thought.
- Draw: If it helps the viewer comprehension, use the draw feature to highlight things on the screen.
- Hide sensitive information: Blur any content on the screen that you don’t wish the audience to see.
- Pause your speaking: Make short pauses between sections. This makes it easier to edit your Loom video if you make a mistake and have to repeat a part of it.
- Pause your recording: Pausing your recording gives you time to prepare for the next part of your Loom. Your audience doesn't need to watch you switch items on your screen or type something. You can do all of that "off-camera".
