Our community values and rules of engagement guide our interactions online and offline. Please read them carefully and follow them at all times while you engage as a People Builder.

Rules of Engagement

While interacting with other community members, we ask that you keep the following principles in mind to help us maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging environment.

• Show up as a People Builder, not a consumer. Engage actively, participate in, and co-create the life of this community.
• Welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities by contributing to create a safe space where people are free to express themselves authentically.
• Turn differences into strengths by valuing others’ skills, experiences, expertises and contributions — especially when solving problems or generating new ideas.
• Respect and admire each other’s courage, resilience, work, and contributions. Cheer each other up wherever people are on their journey and celebrate their wins.
• Keep the relationships and conversations among members of the People Builders community respectful, participatory, and productive.
• Maintain an environment where people are free from discrimination or harassment. (If you are harassed or witness harassment refer to the harassment policy below.)

Community Events Policy

Our events are primarily designed for our community members. Referrals are more than welcome hence we encourage you to invite peers and colleagues who also work as leaders of their organisations within the People function.

However, we avoid inviting colleagues working in unrelated functions — unless discussed priorly with the Community Lead.

Resource-Sharing Policy

The templates, best practices, tools and resources we share in our Community Remote & Hybrid Worksuite are meant to be useful, practical, hands-on resources that members of the community use, reuse, get inspired and learn from so that they can ultimately solve problems and lead positive change in their organisations.

While we understand the confidentiality attached to some material, we expect community members to be generous and find creative ways to share eg. removing company logos or other signs that could help trace back to individuals or organisations — if not wished.
